MSI Introduces the GeForce GT 1030 Low-Profile Accelerator with Passive Cooling

MSI announced a new graphics accelerator – GeForce GT 1030 2GHD4 LP OC. The novelty is intended for modest-sized quiet computers and household multi media centers.

Based on the GP108-310 graphics chipset, this device features 384 streaming processors (CUDA cores), the 1,189 MHz base clock and 1,430 MHz, when boosted. One should note, though, that this card utilizes the DDR4, not GDDR5, memory, like standard GeForce GT 1030 products. The memory is 2 GB (64-bit bus) in volume and operates at the 2,100 MHz frequency.

The main peculiarity of this MSI specialty is its passive cooling system, relying on a big radiator. Owing to this, the video card doesn’t produce noise during work. Besides, the maker manufactures its specialty in a low-profile format with such dimensions: 150 × 69 × 38 mm.

EVGA GeForce GTX 660 Ti

Due to the unknown paparazzi the photos of the upcoming graphics card EVGA GeForce GTX 660 T leaked to the Internet. As it can be seen it is made almost on the reference design of Nvidia. The main differences of EVGA board from the reference — design of the casing of the cooling system, the logo on the fan housing and the clock frequency.

The video card is made on the printed circuit board on the PCI Express 3.0 x16 bus and is equipped with a proprietary dual-slot cooler of active type. Its «heart» is created on 28-nm chip with 1344 GK104 CUDA cores and advanced architecture Kepler. On board there is a 2048 MB of GDDR5 memory with 192-bit and a frequency of 6008 MHz. In fact, core graphics core frequency is 980 MHz, and accelerated by the NVIDIA GPU Boost function value is equal to 1023 MHz.

Dimensions of the cooler are the same as the GeForce GTX 670, but the circuit board is expected to be shorter. It is believed that the card uses the GPU GK104-325-A2 analogically to …

DevID : : Infrared devices

Technology IR (infrared, IR) connections are designed for installation stable wireless connection between your PC and the devices equipped with IR ports. Currently, this technology is not very popular, because speed limits of information transmission and small radius of action. However, the segment of computer and professional electronics full solutions with infrared connection: printers, scanners, cell phones, web Cams, video surveillance equipment etc.

IR devices usually are equipped with a special port that allows you to easily connect to another enabled device. In turn, the desktop/laptop requires the installation of such a port. For configuration and stable operation, use the driver for IR devices.

There are three ways to connect the IR port to computer: the connector IrDA on the motherboard (quite complicated from a technical point of view) connector to the COM or to the bus USB (the best option).

It should be noted that the wavelength of the IR-port does not exceed 900 nm. This figure sets strict limits on the part of the working distance between the two infrared devices is 1 meter. Otherwise, the technology will falter. To ensure a stable connection it is recommended to download the drivers for the IR device, and also remove any objects between the two ports.
