Sapphire Offers Its Customers the Radeon RX 550 Pulse Graphics Card with 640 Streaming Processors

Without extra publicity Sapphire Technology has added a new variant of Radeon RX 550 Pulse video card to the list of up-to-date products. The specialty is remarkable due to its great number of streaming processors.

As distinct from regular Radeon RX 550 models, built on the AMD Polaris 12 (Lexa Pro) chip, the Sapphire novelty utilizes the GPU Polaris 21 (Baffin XT) crippled version, known by virtue of Radeon RX 560 accelerators. Thus, the latest Radeon RX 550 Pulse features 640 SP instead of 512 as in case with typical samples. The ultimate GPU clock reaches 1,071 MHz.

The storage subsystem may be represented by 2 GB or 4 GB of GDDR5 memory with the 128-bit bus and the 6 GHz effective frequency. The graphics adapter is chilled by a relatively small cooler, supplied with an aluminum heatsink and the 90 mm fan. Image output is conducted via the DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 and DVI-D ports.

The Intel Company Is Going to Give a Roland for an Oliver to AMD Ryzen

A short while ago the French Canard PC Hardware magazine has reported, that Intel is going to give fitting reply to AMD Ryzen pilot projects and plans to release two new Kaby Lake-S CPUs.

The first processor is expected to be launched under the Intel Core i7-7740K codename. It will get four compute cores with Hyper-Threading support, 8 MB of tertiary memory cache, unlocked multiplier and the 100 W basic TDP rate. Operating frequencies will lie in the range of 4.3–4.6 GHz in the Turbo Boost mode.

The second specialty is Core i5-7640K with four cores and 4–4.4 frequency of operation. It also features 6 MB of L3 cache, 100 W TDP and the support of Hyper-Threading technology, though we can’t be sure as for the last-named specification. One should admit, that heretofore only the Intel Core i7 line offered multithreading in its 4-core desktop processors.

Evga to Launch a Powerful PSU SuperNova 1000 G2

Evga, a celebrated American developer of varied PC components for enthusiasts, is going to launch its new power supply unit targeting rather demanding consumers. Entitled Evga Supernova 1000 G2, this model is differentiated by 1000W power and not less than 90% efficiency on typical loading. Such outstanding characteristics permitted the PSU to gain 80Plus Gold certificate that testifies its brilliant specifications.

This PSU model is equipped with all prime-quality Japanese capacitors with solid-state electrolyte, as well as with a vertical two-layer main converter. In addition, there is an advanced protection system on board that saves the unit from various uncommon conditions (overheating, overvoltage, short circuit, voltage drops).

To continue, Supernova 1000 G2 may boast the availability of modular cable system. Herein, the cables feature quite an unusual design that facilitates the airflow within the chassis. The system consists of a single 24-contact ATX cable, a …
