AMD Outs the World’s First Server FirePro S9300 x2 GPU

AMD has proudly announced the release of the world’s first server-grade graphics accelerator. Entitled FirePro S9300 x2, this GPU is called to facilitate in solving complex computing tasks and take graphics to the next level. The card is linked to the power unit by means of two 8-pin connectors, consuming up to 300 W power at most.

The heart of AMD FirePro S9300 x2 is a bundle of two AMD Fiji GPUs (GCN architecture). They feature a pair of 4096 stream processors and run at 850 MHz frequency. Each GPU employs 4 GB of HBM memory that operates at 1000 MHz clock frequency and offers 512 Gb/sec bandwidth.

The integration of two processing aggregates allows the accelerator to achieve some amazing 13.9 TFLOPS of computing power. As a result, the model exceeds in performance its nearest competitors: Nvidia Tesla K80 with 5.6 TFLOPS as well as Nvidia Tesla M60 with 7.4 TFLOPS.

The support for AMD GPUOpen stack is supposed to be the card’s key advantage. This stack enables …

Acer Continues to Release Ready-Assembled PCs and Produces Aspire XC-730

A new product by Acer resembles a nettop in appearance. However, taking into account its 419.5 × 100 × 291.6 mm dimensions, we should not concern it to be of this type of devices. This is about Aspire XC-730, operated by the preinstalled Windows 10 Home (64-bit) OS.

The system is based on the 4-core Intel Apollo Lake Pentium J4205 processor with 1.5–2.6 GHz actual frequency. The Acer Aspire XC-730 features 2 MB of cache SM, DDR4/DDR3L RAM dual-channel controller and an Intel HD 505 graphics solution. The CPU cooling system is likely to be passive; and the side panel holes provide additional chilling of inner components without the need in extra fans. The volume of RAM memory equals to 4 GB, though, can be extended to 8 GB. The HDD capacity is 1 TB at 7,200 rpm.

The novelty from Acer is equipped with a DVD-writer, an HDMI, a DisplayPort, a D-Sub, audio and four USB 3.0 ports, as well as with a Gigabit Ethernet slot and Wi-Fi adapter. The power consumption rate of this PC …

New characteristics of co-processors Xeon Phi

For several years, developed Intel Larrabee graphics cards have changed its destiny, and now proudly referred to coprocessors Xeon Phi. The June announcement gave a very rough idea of their characteristics and applications (highly specialized servers and workstations). Now some details will be revealed.

Bboosters Xeon Phi will be available in versions with 57, 60 and 61 core. There are in general 64 computational units, but some of them will be disabled. Depending on the number of cores the cache size varies from 1.8-1.9 MB first level and 28-30,5 MB second. The volume of onboard GDDR5 memory is 3, 6, and 8 GB.

Intel Xeon Phi device will operate on a low clock rate from 600-1100 MHz for the lower 57-core models with 3 and 6 GB of GDDR5, to the 630-1050 MHz or more for the older 60 — and 61-core board with 8 GB of RAM. Effective memory frequency will be in the range of 5-5.5 GHz. Support for dynamic overclocking Turbo Boost will be provided by reasonable balance of …

Fireware devices, list of vendors

Here you can find a list of Fireware devices vendors and download necessary drivers straight away. With a view to find a required driver out of 654963 items in our database inventory, select an appropriate vendor of Fireware devices from the list of 25142 available in this section.

DevID : : Fireware devices

Standard Fireware (IEEE 1394) – a method of transmitting information in a digital format via a serial high-speed bus. In most cases this standard is used for communication between the computer and the equipment to record/playback video and audio.

Its high-speed performance Fireware is close to the performance tires USB 2.0, but unlike the latter, allows you to connect simultaneously usedona much greater quantity of devices (up to 60!). To ensure the functionality of all connected equipment to help the driver Fireware devices.

The main advantages of the bus of IEEE 1394 can be attributed to the relatively low cost of integration, quite fast data transfer, as well as the ability to connect devices equipped with hot-swappable Plug-and-play. This mode allows you to connect/disconnect devices at any time (even when there is an exchange of information) without fear of loss or errors in the data. In addition, Fireware performs data transmission and voltage supply on a single cable.

If you are connecting equipment computer failed to recognize it, then you should download the drivers for Fireware devices, or update the outdated. This will require direct access to the Internet.

Usually such devices come with a separate disc, which contains all necessary for effective work drivers. If it is missing or the software does not meet the requirements of the current OS, run the update through device Manager.
